Quicksilver is making big moves to gain street cred, first they released a groundbreaking online skate vid, now they are targeting hipsters and tourist county wide.

“Both mens and womens swimwear will be available starting August 8th within their hotel locations and online. The ultra lightweight designs, taking cues from 70s-80s styles, will be available within a poolside vending machine, with each boardshort coming in its own waterproof travel bag.

Each design features a “Quik City Guide” on the inside waistband, with addresses of local places of interest. The Downtown L.A. trunk features alternative art spaces in that city, the Hollywood trunk highlights independent music venues, the New York trunk lists other swimming pools to visit there and Miami features hip restaurants and cafes. The inside label on each reads “The Standard Boardshorts by Quiksilver.” In addition to the swimsuits, the vending machines will offer zines and $10 works of art from local artists.

I love you comes out next week and I thought we should hear a few cuts of the album. Home girls music always puts an extra pep in my step, dig!

These are fly, The Hybrid AC ND from Nike combines a Blazer sole with an interlaced suede upper deck shoe. In other words they combined the vans chukka, half cabs and a tin dusting of euro with the extra leather pieces on the back. Who would have thought Nike would ever have to crush vans, smells like converse all over again.

I came across this branding in the wharehouse last week, we will do anything to see oranges.

Friends and family have come together to create an open memorial exhibition for the fans of Dash Snow. The show included never before seen Polaroids from Dash’s studio and other work Dash has compiled over his life time. The show was put together by Jade Berreau, Dan Colen, Jeffrey Deitch, Christophe de Menil, Kathy Grayson, Hanna Liden and Agathe Snow. The show will be running from July 23rd-August 15th.
