Knitting is going to be hot across the board in 2010. Knitt toys are already on the rise as is artist installations of  knitt objects like cars and shit. Guerilla Knitting will be too, All it takes is for one sick artist to blow peoples minds.

Some words from a knitt artist

“Lots of graffiti can be done without a spray can, Sayeg says. She’s seen examples of artists who make their work by cleaning spaces to create outlines. Others grow patterned cultivations of plants and moss. She says she’s fascinated by graffiti as a whole.”

“It’s a response to the growing street art world to make a distinctly feminine statement in urban art in a way that is far less harmful to the surroundings. As in, it does not need solvents or cleansers to remove. It’s stitched on, and if you don’t like it, you unpick it.”

“Graffiti is becoming less hated. There’s more of a curiosity that people have for it.”

LUCHADOR COLLAB-O-MASK

“the stencil artist peat wollaege developed the idea for luchador collab-o-mask, a series of mexican
wresting masks each painted by a different artist and stencilled by himself. wollaege handed out to
blank wooden mexican wrestling masks and asked each artist to paint a background. he then collected
the masks and overlaid his own stencil on each piece. the collection of masks is quite unique despite
breaking from traditional mexican wresting mask design. an exhibition of the pieces has been shown
in st. louis, san francisco and melbourne.”

By working extensively together, Nike and Kobe pushes the envelope even further with the introduction of Nike lightest weight and lowest profile basketball shoe to date – the Kobe V. Kobe’s latest signature sneaker weighs just 10.6 ounces and takes its inspiration from an unexpected place – the soccer field.

LeBron and Nike introduced the Air Max LeBron VII this fall, a shoe that features Nike’s first basketball-specific Nike Max 360 air sole. The LeBron VII was designed to deliver maximum comfort and stability for James as the demands of his game evolve and increases.

For Christmas Day, both Kobe and LeBron will be wearing special editions of their respective sneakers, that we can present you for the first time here today. The two sneakers will also be released to the public, as of December 26th.
