SICK
NOTHING TO DECLARE BY DAVID CHOE
by CHRIS GROSSO on Apr.23, 2010, under ART, Chris Grosso, EVENTS, GRAFFITI
Last night, I was fortunate enough to be invited to the private opening of the David Choe Gallery, Nothing to Declare, at the Lazarides Gallery in Beverly Hill. Choe put it down, the tempo of the pieces had a real organic flow as you walked through, dude knows how to use color! The world Choe created around the art was also on point, you walked into an experience and it really tied the show together, especially the giant inflatable squid or octopus. I highly recommend this show, it’s like nothing you have ever seen before, ever…

Check out David Choe on the Vintage GuerillaOne page, we always knew what was up.
SMOKIN IN DOORS WITH SUBLIME
by CHRIS GROSSO on Apr.22, 2010, under Chris Grosso, EVENTS, MUSIC

Went to the palladium last nigh to see the new Sublime act and hear BAD FISH. In a nut shell its three old guys and a filipino or Hawaiian kid in a sublime tribute band. The only difference here is that this tribute band has actual members from the original line up. I still havent seen sublime, but I guess this is as close as I could ever get.

by CHRIS GROSSO on Apr.16, 2010, under ART, Chris Grosso, EVENTS

Some day, they will love you so much, they will paper mache a 20 foot version of your head.
“A massive 20 foot pinata created in the likeness of American pop-culture icon Andy Warhol was just installed as part of the 2010 Brooklyn Ball. No word on the contents of the pinata, but the theme of the event is to combine both food and art. For more details on the Brooklyn Ball, check out the Brooklyn Museum.”
