In a statement from Acme, the company said the advertisement was designed to highlight Black History Month and many of the items are products supplied through the company’s “supplier diversity program”.

Controversy between artist Shepard Fairey and Associated Press. News organization Associated Press stated last Wednesday, February 4th, 2009 that the very popular Obama Hope poster, by Fairey is actually an asset of AP because it was based on a photograph taken by former AP photographer Mannie Garcia. Therefore AP wants credit and loyalty for the usage. With the help of Stanford Law School and firm Durie Tangri, Fairey filed a lawsuit against AP. In the compliant, Fairey and his firm,  Obey Giant, wants a legal declaration that the poster did not infringe on AP’s copyright. It also seeks a protection from AP’s future claims of copyright infringement against anyone currently own the poster or derivatives from it. Expect more development to come soon.

So I, Nanny Fresh saw Lil’ Wayne last night at Jimmy Kimmel Live. It was a dope performance, sorry for the shaky camera some chick kept shakin her stuff all on me.

On August 31, 2008 Nike is staging the largest running event of all time. 25 cities. 25 10k events. London, Los Angeles, Paris, Melbourne, Shanghai and Vancouver are among the cities participating.

The event is aiming to pull in a large sum of money for participating charities, including the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the UN Refugee Agency. Runners will be able to race for a cause, as well as say they were part of the worlds largest running event. To get in the mix, log on to nikeplus.com where you can register and also get training tips.

As an extra incentive each of the 25 cities will be treated to a special concert at the race finish site. In LA, Kanye will be hitting the Colieseum. One can only imagine he’ll be sporting a special mock up of his signature shoe. Moby will take Wembley Stadium in London. Fall Out Boy will be in Chicago and Kelly Rowland in Paris (guess she is actually popular somewhere). An excellent event, and one that will surely connect legions of dedicated runners around the world.
