THE MQ ALEMBIC

We’re releasing a hand etched 64oz stainless steel flask. Limited to a quantity of 24, the legendary artist-vandal, MQ, took time out of canvassing walls around the world to design and hand-etch all 24 flasks with his signature lettering. The flasks are useful for having a place to put two fifths of booze, making margaritas for the whole tailgate, and filling with enough water to flood a Fijian island. Victor Reyes is a San Francisco based artist known for his graffiti and fine art. His artwork lives in the streets and in galleries which has earned him an international acclaim with a diverse audience. This is his first serigraph with Paperworks Laboratories and he pulled out all the stops. Each layer of this screen print was hand separated which means this entire edition has been completely hand done. No computers used and looks as close to a painting as possible. This will be released Friday, June 11th at 12 PM PST.

2010 World Cup South Africa
This special issue of Arkitip Magazine celebrates the world’s greatest sporting spectacle—the FIFA World Cup—seen through the eyes of New York City’s own Chinatown Soccer Club with support from official FIFA sponsor adidas.

Founded in 2002, the Chinatown Soccer Club is a crew of artists, photographers, designers, writers, skateboarders and like-minded creative individuals. This diverse collective, united by a passion for this beautiful game, converges on New York City’s Chinatown year-round in all weather and seasons for friendly morning matches before heading to work.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the 19th FIFA World Cup, the premier international football tournament. It is scheduled to take place between 11 June and 11 July 2010 in South Africa. The World Cup is the most widely-viewed sporting event in the world, where an estimated 715.1 million people watched the final match of the 2006 World Cup held in Germany. Italy’s team are defending champions.
