and my personal favorite.. FRANK MIR!

These are important in terms of market share. The UFC brand has for the most part took out boxing. Boxings future depends on a light weight(BAD ASS) Filipino, when has that ever happened before? Correct, never!
Besides the obvious reason to to make toys these toys are strategic. If you walk into any toy section you will see a lot of wwf toys, Toys R Us and wal mart even give the figures a whole row. In a year or two those wrestling toys will be replace by UFC toys, guaranteed, First Boxing and now WWF/WWE. This was a smart move, if UFC wishes to maintain and grow they need to influence children, who will then grow up into ufc machines. Start them young with the toys and they will ask their parents to hook them up with mma classes and ask for ufc shirts and watch ufc on SPIKE, and it goes on and on. Good job marketing department of the ufc, no joke, these guys know the right time to makes move in the market they always have. Take note professionals and students, you may think its corny, but dudes have mad money and mad reach.

DON CHEADLE GETS A TOY
by CHRIS GROSSO on Mar.16, 2010, under Chris Grosso, THINGS YOU WISH YOU HAD, TOYS

One of the best reactions to all these comic movies is the licensed action figures. All these actors who would never think be made into action figures are being immortalized in plastic. For example, Kevin Spacey had a toy from a Superman movie, Ed Norton had a toy from Hulk, Heath Ledger(RIP) from Bat Man and most importantly Robert Downey Jr has Iron man toys all over the country.

Artist Cleon Peterson designed the commemorative poster, which not only includes three L.A.- area icons, but also the start of one of the largest marathons in the world and 2009 women’s champion Tatiana Petrova of Russia. The poster is composed of high-contrast images brightly colored in blue, red and black on a white background and is signed by the artist. Its a numbered edition of 1,050, priced at $45 each (not including sales tax) and $5 from each purchase will be donated to the Students Run LA program which helps to train at-risk youth to reach higher goals in life through the discipline of training for the race. While they last, posters will be available for purchase at the K-Swiss Concept Store at 2427 Main Street in Santa Monica and at the Studio Number One booth at the free-admission LA Marathon Expo to be held next Friday and Saturday at Dodger Stadium.
When you think of Los Angeles, the icons immediately come to mind – The Hollywood sign. Dodger Stadium. Miles of beaches.
“This is a unique and exciting artwork,” noted LA MARATHON LLC creative director Peter
Abraham. “The icons of Los Angeles reflect the remarkable new Stadium-to-the-Sea course we will debut on March 21, which begins at Dodger Stadium and finishes near the beach in Santa Monica. Cleon Peterson has created a great souvenir of the 25th Honda LA Marathon.”
