I have a good eye at realizing something genuinely beautiful when I see it. The dollar is extremely low right now relative to the Pound and the Euro so I suggest skipping down to Belize for this summer’s vacation. An amazing low key, hip spot is the island Caye Caulker off the coast of Belize. Take it from me, I went to this jewel in the middle of the Carribean last summer and found myself completely vulnerable to my surroundings. I can honestly say I was relaxed. My ability to relax was how inexpensive everything was. Round-trip ticket: $600. The Belizean dollar equals $.50 cents (U.S). July/August is their off-season. Put these things together and you have a stress free (cheap!) vacation. It’s probably not bad to mention that Lobster season is also around the time of July and for around $7 (that equals $15 Belizean) you can get an amazing just caught, fresh, tasty meal every night (or day) and not worry about diggin too deep in your pockets. Now I’ve done my fair share of traveling to islands in Europe and South America but I’m telling anyone and everyone who is willing to listen, and invest in their well being to go there NOW. Ok, well if not now, soon. There are no cars, just golf carts. When standing on one side of the island you can see the other, the islanders speak English with a Jamaican twist, and you can have all the rum and punch your stomach can handle when you go sunset sailing with Ragga Muffin Tours.
